Getting There
Verano is easy to reach by car, public transport, or from the nearest international airports.
By car
Take the A22 Brenner motorway to the Merano Sud exit and follow signs toward Burgstall/Gargazon, then take the road up to Vöran/Verano. The drive from the motorway takes about 25 minutes. Free parking is available at the apartment.
From major cities:
- Innsbruck: approximately 1.5 hours via A22
- Verona: approximately 2 hours via A22
- Munich: approximately 3 hours via A13/A22
- Milan: approximately 3 hours via A22
- Bolzano: approximately 30 minutes
- Merano: approximately 20 minutes
By train and cable car
Trains run frequently from Verona, Innsbruck, and across Italy to Bolzano and Merano. From Merano station, take a local bus or taxi to Burgstall (15 minutes), then ride the Vöraner Seilbahn cable car up to Verano (5 minutes, runs regularly). A scenic and practical option if you prefer not to drive.
By plane
The nearest airports are:
- Innsbruck Airport (INN): 1.5 hours, good connections across Europe
- Verona Airport (VRN): 2 hours, Ryanair and other low-cost carriers
- Milan Malpensa (MXP): 3 hours
- Munich (MUC): 3 hours, widest choice of international connections
- Bolzano Airport (BZO): 30 minutes, small airport with limited routes
